Bimetal, Gold and Silver, Coins?
I really like the look of Bimetal coins. Panda's came in a set of these in the 90's, if I remember correctly. Any more coins that use this type of design? Where might I find a dealer that stocks these types?

There have been several numi-toonies produced with precious metals, like this one which has a 22k outer ring, and a 4.1k inner core - 77% of the inner core being silver. An attractive "reverse" coin, IMO. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y38...DA9/tOOnie.jpg |

Re: Bimetal, Gold and Silver, Coins?
Anyone into tri- or quad-metal coins? The British Virgin Islands released a coin last year made of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium.
http://www.pobjoy.com/ukworld/section.php/448/0 I sold a few at my coin shop last year. They're actually pretty neat. There's another one I've seen that features a shark. I don't think it's BVI. It's irregularly shaped and is either tri- or quad-metal, if I remember correctly. I've only seen it once, and only for a moment. Anyone know this coin? |
